About Us

Grangetown Nursery School was established shortly after the Second World War, although the current building was completed in the late 1980’s. The school was extended in 2011 and is now able to offer part-time places for 160 children, 80 in the morning session and 80 in the afternoon session.

The school is well maintained, well resourced and in good condition having open-plan space alongside individual learning spaces, both inside and outside. There are also office space, staffroom and kitchen facilities.

Grangetown Nursery School caters for children of ages 3 – 4 years. The underlying aim of the school is to provide a happy, caring, secure environment in which the youngest members of our community thrive and develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, spiritually, morally and aesthetically.

Children are eligible for a 2 and a half hour session in the morning or afternoon, 5 days per week, from the term after they reach their 3rd birthday.

Our morning session time is 9:00-11:30am.

Our afternoon session time is 13:00-15:30pm.
